BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz announced a new smartphone app has been created to help stop violence and solve crimes.
Poloncarz says his office has teamed up with the Erie County District Attorney's Office and Crime Stoppers Buffalo to create the "Buffalo Tips" app which he says will "offer enhanced rewards for information leading to a conviction in a gun crime."
He made the announcement on Twitter early Saturday morning, an image he posted within the tweet states those who share tips in regards to homicides, shootings and illegally possessed guns can earn up to $7,500.
