BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Erie County Lawmakers have introduced a resolution opposing a proposed New York State Fair and Erie County Fair overlap.

The legislature's minority caucus introduced the resolution Thursday urging Governor Andrew Cuomo to reconsider his decision.

The governor's controversial plan would add five days to the state fair causing it to interfere with eight other county fairs across the state.

The New York State Fair's organizers are holding a meeting Friday with the nine county fairs throughout the state. The meeting will be used to discuss issues and concerns of the New York State Association of Agricultural Fairs.
