UPDATE: According to New York State Police, a student under the age of 14 has been arrested. Charges are still pending. The Ellicottville Central School lockdown has been lifted.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office reported Ellicottville High School was on lockdown Friday morning.
New York State Police say a report of a possible threat of violence was made and authorities responded to investigate.
The investigation revealed a threatening note was located within the school, it was determined there was no credible threat.
