BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — An electrical fire delayed the opening of the Rath Building and shut down power Friday morning.
According to Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, an electrical panel on the building's 9th floor caught fire.

As of just before 9:30 a.m. Poloncarz announced the building will re-open to the public at 10:30 a.m. all floors except for floors nine, 10 and 11 have full power and are operational. All employees should report except for employees who work on those three floors, they will be closed for the day.
The departments on those floors are: health, environment and planning, comptroller and legal advocacy for the disabled.
