BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Erie County Sheriff's Office released a statement Thursday saying in part that it will continue its usual role in regard to the upcoming Buffalo Bills playoff game at Bills Stadium.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Wednesday a limited number of fans can attend the Bills first home playoff game since December 1996. You can find more information on the plan to allow a limited number of fans inside Bills Stadium here.

Below is the full statement from ECSO:

"The Erie County Sheriff’s Office will continue its usual role for games at the stadium. The agency is there in a law enforcement capacity.

Tailgating is not allowed within the stadium’s lots. In the coming days, the Sheriff’s Office and all the gameday partners will be meeting with the Bills’ organization to coordinate efforts for the home playoff game.

Regarding tailgating in the private lots, that has been and will continue to be monitored by the Town of Orchard Park and the Orchard Park Police Department."
