BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Erie County Medical Center could soon see a glimmer of hope.
After losing a significant amount of money since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, ECMC got the go ahead to resume outpatient elective surgeries.
According to ECMC's president Thomas Quatroche, the hospital lost out on $20 million in elective surgeries in the month of April.
This comes after the hospital announced it would be laying off and furloughing some employees last week.
