BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — An East Aurora woman charged with driving drunk and hitting a 9-year-old girl riding her scooter on the sidewalk has pleaded guilty to vehicular assault.
Prosecutors say 30-year-old Erin Kuntz was under the influence of alcohol when she was driving on East Main Street in the Village of East Aurora last July when she left the road and hit a 9-year-old girl on the sidewalk. Police say Kuntz had a BAC of .20 percent at the time of the crash.
The child was taken to ECMC and treated for serious injuries. She has since recovered, prosecutors say. Kuntz lost her license as a result.
Kuntz faces up to 7 years in prison. She will be sentenced in front of a judge on Monday, February 24.
