East Aurora couple welcomes one of the first babies born in 2021

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Catholic Health announced an East Aurora couple welcomed one of the first babies born in WNY in 2021 at Mercy Hospital Friday.

Atreyu Allard was born at 2:13 a.m. making him the first baby born in the Catholic Health system in the new year.

Atreyu weighed in at 7 pounds 15 ounces, his parents Ivy Bindig and Quinn Allard are from East Aurora.

"Mother and baby are both resting and doing well," Catholic Health said.

Catholic Health also announced Tru Michal Davis was born at 4:02 a.m. at Sisters Hospital to parents LeTeaya Truitt and Richard Davis.

Tru weighed in at 9 pounds 8 ounces and was born at 36 weeks, due date was January 25.

"Mom and baby are doing great and mom was relieved for her early New Year's surprise," Catholic Health said.
