BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A drunk driver is headed to jail for hitting and seriously injuring a pedestrian.
A judge sentenced 51-year-old Michael Eddo of Williamsville Friday to one year behind bars for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated.
Eddo struck a pedestrian who was walking on the side of Harris Hill Road near Main Street in the Town of Clarence. The crash happened in February of 2019. Eddo registered a 0.19% BAC at the time of the crash.
The pedestrian was taken to ECMC where he was treated for more than a month after suffering multiple injuries including traumatic brain injury. He has yet to fully recover.
