ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WKBW) — Organizers have canceled Drums Along the Waterfront for 2020 due to safety concerns during the Coronavirus pandemic. The annual event will return for 2021.
The event, which features Drum Corps International's top-ranked teams was planned for Sunday, August 2nd at New Era Field. Organizers decided that it wasn't possible to hold the event this year due to health and safety concerns, travel requirements and logistics. Some musicians age out of the program, however, so it was decided that those performers will get a one-year extension on the age requirements.
