TOWN OF CARROLL, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office says drug induced convulsions caused a man to drive into a yard on Bone Run Road in Cattaraugus County Friday.

The sheriff's office says a deputy attempted to stop 30-year-old Bijan Sedighzadeh of Westminster, Colorado who was reported to be driving erratically on Route 62 in the Town of Carroll.

Officials say Sedighzadeh failed to stop and was pursued onto Bone Run Road where he crashed into a yard due to drug induced convulsions.

Sedighzadeh was transported to UPMC Chautauqua for treatment, he was released and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail pending centralized arraignment.

He is being charged with felony DWAI drugs and numerous vehicle and traffic charges.
