BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A 23-year-old woman admits her reckless driving caused the death of her passenger.

23-year-old Aleia Easley pleaded guilty Friday to Manslaughter for the deadly crash in April.

Easley and another woman, 21-year-old Jacquelyn McClain, were confronted by a loss prevention officer at the Save A Lot on Rossler Avenue in Cheektowaga for stealing from the store. Easly and McClain then ran and tried to getaway in their vehicle.

Easley sped out of the parking lot and through a red light where her vehicle crashed into another car at the intersection of Rossler and Dingins Street. Easley was seriously injured. Her passenger, McClain, was ejected from the vehicle and died from her injuries.

Easley faces up to 15 years in prison when she is sentenced in February.
