NEWSTEAD, N.Y. (WKBW) — A downed power line is being blamed for a fire that destroyed a number of summer homes in the Town of Newstead.
Crews were called to the scene on Sprucewood Lane just before 10:30am on Thursday.
Four trailers in all were involved with three of them considered total losses. Fire investigators say all of the trailers are used as summer homes and were not occupied at the time of the fire.
Damage is estimated at $125,000.
