BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Another scam is targeting people in Western New York.
National Grid says it is receiving calls from customers who say they have been contacted by someone who claims to be from the power company.
National Grid says it will never demand immediate payment by wire transfer or any prepaid card service.
If you suspect fraud, you are urged to hang up and contact National Grid's customer service center at 1-800-642-4272.
