BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Niagara County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly car accident in the Town of Pendleton.
The crash happened Friday afternoon in front of the Wendelville Fire Company on Campbell Boulevard.
Deputies say it appears the southbound vehicle crossed the center line into the northbound lane and struck an oncoming vehicle. The driver of the northbound vehicle died at the scene. The driver of the southbound vehicle was airlifted to the Erie County Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
Officials say 43-year-old Melissa Maras of Williamsville was killed in the crash.
The sheriff's office is continuing to investigate.
