TOWN OF COLLINS, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Town of Collins man is facing several charges stemming from a 2-car crash back in May.

Following a 3-month investigation, the Erie County Sheriff's Office arrested Joshua John, 37, and charged him with aggravated DWI, aggravated vehicular assault and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.

Deputies say, John was drunk behind the wheel when his vehicle collided with another car on Route 438 on May 10th in the Town of Collins. Seven people were injured in that crash and had to be hospitalized.

John also has previous DWI convictions, leading to an additional DWI charge. John was released on his own recognizance following an arraignment in Collins Town Court.
