BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Democrat Sean Ryan announced he will run for the 60th Senate District in the 2020 election.
The 60th District is being vacated by Republican Chris Jacobs, who is running to unseat incumbent Chris Collins in New York's 27th Congressional District.
Ryan's bid for a State Senate seat means he will not be seeking another term for New York State Assembly's 149th District.
Ryan will be announced his candidacy at Niawanda Park in the City of Tonawanda on Saturday morning.
It’s official…I’m running for New York State Senate!
