Deadly New Year's Day crash in Buffalo now under investigation as homicide

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo Police are now investigating a deadly early morning crash on New Year's Day as the city's first homicide of the year.

Detectives say Frank Navaroli, 27 of Buffalo, was shot before the Chevrolet Malibu he was a passenger in crashed on Franklin Street near Allen around 2:30 a.m. on January 1st.

The driver ran from the scene on foot, according to police.
