BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A 17-year-old is in trouble with the law after police say he wrote racial epithets and nazi insignias in the men’s room of the West Seneca Library and Community Center.

He is charged with two felonies-- including criminal mischief as a hate crime and aggravated harassment. The 17-year-old is also charged with criminal tampering.

Police have not released the name of the teenager. Because of the Raise the Age legislation, the case will move to Family Court. However, The Erie County District Attorney can make a motion and ask the judge to keep the case in a regular criminal courtroom.

District Attorney John Flynn says he will ask the judge to do so, saying, "it’s a big boy crime and he deserves to be in big boy court.”

The teenager was arrested and arraigned on Wednesday.
