BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Erie County District Attorney's Office announced the man accused of killing his wife, dismembering her body and burying her in the backyard of their Broadway Street home has died.

54-year-old Mohammed Mused was indicted on one count of second degree murder in October for allegedly killing his wife, 42-year-old Muna Abdulrahman, on March 18, 2020. Officials say he died at ECMC on December 24, 2020. He was scheduled to return to court on January 27, 2021.

The district attorney's office says due to HIPAA no comment will be made on Mused's cause of death.
