PEMBROKE, N.Y. (WKBW) — A husband and wife were sent to ECMC with injuries, one via Mercy Flight, another by ground after a tractor trailer drove off an I-90 overpass in Pembroke onto Route 5.
This happened around 3:45 Friday morning.
The was sent to ECMC via Mercy Flight after appearing to have two broken legs, after being extricated from the vehicle.
Two dogs were in the vehicle at the time of the incident, one remains missing.
Authorities said the driver believes he fell asleep at the wheel, leading to the crash.
The crash closed the right lane of I-90 at Exit 48A.
