CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Chautauqua County couple is facing charges after police say the toddler they were watching got out of the house and ran into the road.
Police say 71-year-old Stephen Gordon and 71-year-old Margaret Gordon were taking care of the two-year-old when they let their family dog out, and the child followed the dog outside. Police say the couple never saw the child leave, and the toddler chased the dog into a heavily-traveled road. Police responded to check on the child.
The Gordons, who are from Frewsburg, were issued tickets to appear in the Town of Carroll.
