BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — State lawmakers now have a month to come up with a way to legalize recreational marijuana, if they want it done this year.
They recently came up with changes to the push for legalization that include enhancements for medical marijuana.
Assembly majority leader Crystal Peoples-Stokes says a new bill legislators are working on not only legalizes pot but it also includes enhanced regulations for medical marijuana and hemp.
Legislators and the governor have yet to figure out: how much pot you'd be able to have, how revenue will be used, and whether you'd be able to grow it at home.
Lawmakers have until June 19th to sort it out.
