BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Community Action Organization of Western New York has launched a nutrition assistance initiative through funding from the CARES Act.

The initiative allows the Community Action Organization to host more mobile food pantry events and deliver groceries to seniors and people with disabilities in more areas throughout Western New York.

Starting on Wednesday, the mobile food pantry will begin servicing the 14204 zip code in Buffalo at CAO JFK Recreation Center on Hickory Street, and residents of Angola, Brant, Derby, and Farnham at the CAO Angola on Main Street in Angola.

“There is no shortage of those in need in Western New York,” Haynes said. “It’s incredible to be able to serve those living in rural areas near Angola, NY; they are often overlooked. My department is looking forward to connecting with these communities and sharing more information on CAO’s expanded programming.”
