HAMBURG, N.Y. (WKBW) — The grand opening of Stephanie Haak's new cake shop has been put on hold due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

"It's scary because you don't know when it's going to open again . . . or if it will get worse" Haak said.

Haak is facing the reality that her shop could close before ever opening-- a shocking realization after she poured blood, sweat, tears, and thousands of dollars into the Hamburg bakery.

"It's the main source of revenue and now it's gone."

After posting her concerns on Facebook, neighbors came together offering to help.

This gave Haak new life, and now she plans on doing curbside pickup with her bakery. She hopes to adapt to the changing environment.

"There's a lot of uncertainty so it's good everyone is trying to stay positive," Haak said, "I think it will work because it's kind of like that group mentality when everyone stays positive."

Haak posted a list of the offerings she will have for curbside pickup. All of the choices below will be available to have delivered to your car. For more information on Haak's Cakes, visit her Facebook page here.
