BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — According to Governor Andrew Cuomo, any essential employee who interacts with the public must wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth. He also mandated employers supply masks for employees.

Sofia Mado owns Main Street Children's Academy in Williamsville and Little Angels Daycare Center in Cheektowaga. She says childcare facilites have run out of protective gear like gloves, masks and hand sanitizer. With the new state mandate, Mado says her employees will wear homemade masks.

“Starting tomorrow, we will have to provide and wear masks within our facilities,” explained Mado.

She feels childcare facilities are being left out when it comes to receiving concise information.

“We do not have any centralized system of getting any recommendations or directions,” said Mado.
