CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Cheektowaga Police are alerting the public after a stranger approached a young girl while she was waiting for her bus on Thursday morning.
Police say the 4th grader was waiting for the bus on Eggert Road when a gray 4 door sedan pulled up and asked the girl if she wanted some candy. Investigators say the man driving the car then left but returned to the bus stop several times before leaving the area. The child was then picked up by her bus and taken to her school where she told school personnel of the incident.
The driver of the car is described as a black male in his fifties with black hair. Anyone with any information on this incident is asked to call Cheektowaga Police Detective Bureau at 686-3505.
