CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WKBW) — There are no days off for first responders.
For members of the Cheektowaga Police Department, co-workers are like family.
So, over the holidays, this family-in-blue tries to keep the Christmas spirit bright while they're working.
"We like to do things for each other inside the building," said Officer Jennifer Szymborski.
Szymborski organized a door decorating contest. Men and women in uniform flexed their artistic muscle, and the results are impressive.
"It took off," Szymborski said.
Szymborski has posted 13 of the decorated doors to the Cheektowaga Police Department Facebook page.
She hopes the public will help decide which officer's door wins.
