EAST AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — Kids from Oishei Children's Hospital along with some of Buffalo's familiar faces hit the green on Sunday for Tops Market's Annual Celebrity Putting Contest.
The event took place at the Transit Valley Country Club in East Amherst. Buffalo celebrities were paired with a child from Oishei to compete in five holes of golf. The kids also got to decorate the golf balls, before sending them soaring.
About 20 kids and their families participated. 7 Eyewitness News Morning Anchor Katie Morse took part in the event as well.
This year, the contest raised a record half a million dollars for the Oishei Children's Hospital. Over the last 14 years of the event, Tops has raised 7 million dollars.
