Caught on camera firebug pleads guilty to string of Elmwood Village fires

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The arsonist linked to a series of fires in the Elmwood village back in April will be sentenced in October.

Nathan Wasyl of Buffalo plead guilty to several of the 20 counts of arson and burglary, and attempted burglary in court on July 22, 2019.

The fires caused about 800 thousand dollars in damage. Two buffalo firefighters were also hurt.

Sentencing has been scheduled in Erie County Court on October 28, 2019.
