NIAGARA FALLS, Ontario (WKBW) — A Canadian driver has been charged with driving while being impaired after a car crashed into the Niagara River.
Niagara Parks Police say a 56-year old female was driving southbound on the Niagara River Parkway when the vehicle crossed the roadway, flipped upside down and crashed into the river. The crashed happened near Service Road #21 at 10:00 p.m. Monday.
Witnesses helped the woman out of the vehicle. According to police, she was not injured. Police have not released the name of the woman.
The woman is charged with impaired operation of a conveyance.
