NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — Flames spread through a home on the 1100 block of Ashland Avenue late Friday night, investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.

Fire officials say an elderly woman died inside the home.

Officials have yet to release the name of the woman who died in the fire, but neighbors who knew her as "Miss B" held a candle light vigil outside her home Saturday night.

Those who knew her say she was very caring and always tried to help her fellow neighbors when she could.
