GENESEO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A K9 with the Livingston County Sheriff's Office now has brand new body armor thanks to a businessman in Livingston County.
K9 Hutch received the bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a donation from Dave Steen of Johncox Trucking. Steen donated $1,000 to the non-profit organization Livingston County Sheriff’s Foundation Inc.
The non-profit was established in 2018 to assist the sheriff’s office with buying equipment, education, training or other things without using taxpayer-based funding.
