BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The past few days, as WNY took on the Polar Vortex, local businesses were suffering from a lack of customers.
"The week we had, just everyone in Buffalo knows it was horrible" Mark Sciortino, owner of Marco's Italian Restaurant on Niagara Street said.
The weather forced Sciortino and Marco's to essentially shut down for three days.
"It sets you back," Sciortino said, "You depend on all of those sales, you depend on that money to pay your bills and your staff."
Sciortino and Marco's are hoping that people who were in need of a day to leave their house, decide to take a trip to the restaurant, to make up for the few days of missed business.
"We're going to get back out and have a huge crowd."
