BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo Zoo officials say polar bear and furry resident Luna is not pregnant.
According to the zoo, Luna has been denning over the past couple of months. This led many people to believe that she might be pregnant. But after an annual physical, officials determined that she will not welcome a new cub this year.
Luna had what zoo officials call a pseudo-pregnancy. A pseudo-pregnancy is when a polar bear acts pregnant, but they may or may not be.
The polar bear is healthy and is back exploring her surroundings.
