BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Yolanda Vega from the New York Lottery was at the Lottery’s Office on Genesee Street Friday to award a Buffalo woman her $1 million prize.

62-year-old Geni Miller won her $1 million jackpot on a "Big Million" scratch-off.

When Miller purchased the ticket and scratched it off, she didn't believe it.

“I showed my co-worker and asked, ‘do you see what I see?’ I immediately put it my purse and drove down to the Lottery office to claim it," said Miller.

She chose a one-time lump sum payment, she will receive a total of $524,004 after required withholdings.

“It still doesn’t feel real,” said Miller. “I’m thinking about retiring a little early. I also plan to buy a new house.”
