BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — 29-year-old Chelsea Ellis, who suffered major injuries after being hit by a Buffalo Police SUV will receive treatment in Colorado after a GoFundMe campaign run by her large group of supporters.

"Chelsea’s entire family and friends are eternally grateful for the outpouring of prayers, financial gifts and love from everyone who hears her story," said Cindy Marino, Ellis's mother.

They hit their $250,000 goal on Wednesday morning, meaning she will have enough money to travel to a rehabilitation facility in Colorado. She will fly via air ambulance on Thursday, June 11.

"With your incredible support she will be able to continue her journey in the very best ways possible. Our heartfelt thanks to all," said Marino.

But they're still raising money to reach their total goal of $515,000 to pay for her treatment. You can donate here.
