NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Peter Cotton Tail has found a bunny trail right in North Tonawanda. He wanted to visit everyone while being socially distant, so he decided to hop in with Heidi Urban and take a ride.

"It's so much fun because you turn the corner and there will be so many people out there, and everybody smiles," said Urban, "Everybody is happy. I mean all ages."

Urban's family owns Platters Chocolates. The Easter Bunny usually visits the their location on Niagara Falls Boulevard in North Tonawanda, but he couldn't stop by this year because of the coronavirus outbreak. That's why Urban decided she and the Easter Bunny should take a few rides throughout North Tonawanda.

"We just have to be creative and maybe learn to celebrate a little bit differently," Urban said.

So at a time when you can't go visit the Easter Bunny, the Easter Bunny came to you. Urban and the Easter Bunny have driven around neighborhoods for the past three days. Kids have left them messages in chalk, made posters and some even chased them down.

"A couple of families had little set ups at the end of their driveway. They had lawn chairs and blankets laid out waiting for the Easter Bunny to come," Urban said.

It's all about spreading some joy in honor of the upcoming holiday.

'It's a hard time right now. It's a cool thing to be able to make someone smile. I keep saying I've made so many people smile, I'm being paid in smiles. It's awesome," said Urban.
