BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Western New York's sewing community continues to go above and beyond to make sure that those that need masks the most don't go unprotected.

Friday morning, Buffalo Police officers picked up 200 handmade masks from "Alterations By Candice", a sewing shop on Abbott Rd in Buffalo.

Owner, Anna Marie Tempestoso, and some of her friends have made nearly 500 masks so far. On top of helping make sure officers have masks, they have been donating to nursing homes across the area.
