YOUNGSTOWN, N.Y. (WKBW) — There were firetrucks, motorcycles and even superheros. Batman came all the way from Gotham for Nathaniel Presti-Martin's 4th birthday.

"It's just kind of something we thought would boost him up and make him happy," said Kelly Martin, Nathaniel's grandma.

She rounded up the troops, calling Batman, Olaf and some pups too. She even drove to Alabama and back to make sure Nathaniel's three cousins could share in his special day.

The turnout was more than anyone could have expected.

"It's amazing that the community has been able to come together," Jillian Presti, Nathaniel's mom, said.

It's a way to make Nathaniel smile through a difficult year.

"He keeps asking where's his daddy?" Martin said, "It's his first birthday without his daddy. Our son Christopher Martin passed away on January 6th, 2020."

Nathaniel and Christopher were best friends.

"His daddy was just like having another kid in the house with him," Martin said.

"It's been very emotional. I'm excited that Nathaniel got to have a birthday party after the last four months have been so crazy for him," Presti said.
