BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Yves-Richard Blanc is a professional photographer from Buffalo and on Thursday, he took free head head shots for people searching for jobs.

“Our goal today is to shoot about 40 people and so far I think we’ve seen about 12 individuals that have already come in,” he said.

Blanc said like many these clients he too lost his job during the pandemic. So he teamed up with the Buffalo Employment and Training Center to help some of their clients get back on their feet.

“Job seeking now has turned very virtual,"executive director of the Buffalo Employment Training Center Demone Smith said. "So when you contact the employer, you want to go in to make a good impression. If you have a professional head shot that will speak a whole lot to an employer.”

While many people have turned to their iPhones to take head shots Blanc said there is nothing better than taking head shots the old fashioned way.

“Getting it done at a professional level adds value because then a potential corporation understands that you spent the time and effort to invest in your profile,” Blanc said.

Blanc is hoping that these head shots help at least two people get a job.

“I'm gonna be really really thrilled about it,” he said.
