BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A local company is lifting spirits and helping our first responders.

Lakeward Spirits is donating over 330 gallons of hand sanitizer to Buffalo fire and Buffalo police.

"They're touching people and they're protecting us every day," said Steve Bystran, President of Lakeward Spirits. "It didn't make sense for us to be making alcohol like we normally would, so we decided we had the equipment and materials to help people."

Lakeward made a total of roughly 2,000 gallons of hand sanitizer, and they're continuing to make and bottle more.
