BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Explore & More, The Ralph C. Wilson Children's Museum is celebrating essential workers, first responders, and military personnel by holding at two week 'Honk For Heroes'.
The event begins Friday, September 11th and runs through Saturday, September 26th with family-friendly activities inside the museum, around Buffalo and virtually.
"This year more than ever it is so important to honor the heroes in our community who are helping us navigate the new and unfamiliar challenges. The essential and front line workers have stepped forward in ways that we are so inspiring and have helped our community see this through! As always our heroes deserve to be recognized for their heroicism everyday. We wanted to provide an outlet for our families and our community to come together and celebrate their incredible work," said Michelle Urbanczyk, CEO of Explore & More.
On September 12th, Explore & More is hosting a reverse parade in the Buffalo News lot, where families will be able to decorate their vehicles and pay tribute to local mailmen, firefighters, police, military personnel and frontline workers.
Registration, while free, is required prior to the event.
