CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Like all restaurants in Western New York, the Texas Roadhouse in Cheektowaga has gone to takeout only. But owner Frank Collins made a special delivery to the Rath Building downtown on Saturday.

"A good friend of mine told me they were working very hard and working around the clock," Collins said. "I thought it would just be a great gesture on our end to get our food out to the community in a time like this."

So Collins's staff prepared a car-load of chicken, potatoes, rolls, and salad for the staff and volunteers at the COVID-19 call center. Senior education specialist Justyne Preston was grateful for the gesture.

"The days are long, the calls are long. They don't stop," Preston said. "So having a good meal in our stomachs is just really really helpful to give us the enthusiasm and the energy we need to just keep going.

With the delivery, the Texas Roadhouse in Cheektowaga has shown us all how to be Buffalo Strong.
