Nadine Bobb isn’t married to Santa. But, the grandmother from Buffalo’s Lovejoy neighborhood has been trying to spread joy to those in need for the last five years.

“Everyday or every other day, my porch is full of stuff to give out to people,” she explained.

Nadine collects community donations like diapers, toys, and clothes.

She inspects them for stains and holes, washes them and gives them away to anyone who asks.

“People go to the Salvation Army, they have to pay for that even though those clothes are donated. I give my stuff away for free,” she said. “My kids think I’m crazy. My husband thinks I’m crazy. I just love to help people,” she added.

The problem is that she’s in over her head, literally. The donations nearly reach her ceiling and they’ve taken over much of the first floor of her home.

So Nadine, who said it’s her mission to help others, is now in need of help herself. She’s holding a basket raffle. The goal is to raise enough money to build a shed to store all of the donations.
