BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Buffalo Police Department welcomed its newest K9 Friday.
Police say the new K9, named Cairo, is a gray/sable German Shepherd who was born in Hungary on February 25th, 2018.
Cairo is named after the U.S. Navy SEAL's K9 Cairo, who participated in the raid (Operation Neptune Spear) of Osama bin Laden's compound.
Cairo's partner, Michael J. Baueris an 11-year veteran of the Buffalo POlice Department and a 17-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
