Buffalo police to hold public Zoom meeting on uptick in crime in Elmwood Village on Wednesday

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Buffalo Police Department's D District will hold a public Zoom meeting at 11 a.m. Wednesday to discuss the recent uptick in crime in the Elmwood Village.

Since October, on Elmwood Avenue between Summer Street and Forest Avenue has seen the following reported crimes

  • Seven robberies
  • Three assaults
  • 10 burglaries
  • 36 larcenies
  • 17 vehicle thefts

Additionally, last Wednesday saw a man stabbed by another man while he was walking with his girlfriend on Elmwood Avenue at West Ferry Street.
