Buffalo Police SUV t-boned while responding to call of shots fired

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo Police say a patrol car was involved in a rollover accident overnight after it was t-boned when officers were responding to a call.

Police say around 1:20 a.m. on New Year's Day, the police SUV was responding to a call of shots fired with its lights and sirens on when it was hit by the car and rolled over twice. It happened at Tonawanda Street and Hertel Avenue. The two officers inside were taken to ECMC and treated for minor injuries.

So far no charges have been filed against the driver of the other car.
