BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Buffalo Police Department and Buffalo fire were called to the Buffalo Zoo Tuesday afternoon for the report of a "suspicious letter" sent to the zoo.
According to police, a letter containing a red powdery substance was discovered. The substance was determined to be non lethal and non threatening.

HazMat was also called to the scene.

The Buffalo Zoo is located on Parkside Avenue.
