BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — You won't need to search your pockets for loose change on Black Friday.

Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown announced that shoppers will be able to park for free in retail districts across the city as well as four parking lots on Black Friday.

The mayor also encourages you to come out and shop local on Small Business Saturday.

"Buffalo is open for business. As we continue to foster an inclusive and equitable City of Opportunity, we encourage residents and visitors to shop local and visit all the great retail stores-- both big and small-- that Buffalo has to offer," Mayor Brown said.

You can park for free at the following city lots Friday:

  • 198 Allen Street
  • 301 Bryant Street
  • 304 West Utica Street
  • 569 Forest Avenue

Neighbors and visitors will also be able to park free at both metered on-street spots and city lots from December 21 through January 1.

For New Year's Eve, the Fernbach Ramp located on Franklin Street will be free of charge.

Winter Parking Restrictions on bus routes are suspended this week from November 25 to December 1.
